Request this course →- Mt. Fuji in view from nearly every hole
- 2,000 cherry trees — a springtime spectacle
- A vast 1.64-million-square-meter property
Fugaku means Mt. Fuji, and the course delivers on the name: laid across a vast 1.64-million-square-meter property on the mountain's Shizuoka side, it keeps Japan's most famous silhouette in view from nearly every hole. The scale is extraordinary by Japanese standards — wide corridors, long vistas, and a back-tee measurement of 7,879 yards that makes it one of the longest courses in the country.
Come in late March or early April and the property's 2,000 cherry trees turn the round into something you will describe to people for years: pink blossoms in the foreground, snow-capped Fuji behind. Weekday rates around ¥20,000 make it the best-value big-scenery course in the Fuji area, and access is simple — an hour on the Shinkansen from Tokyo, then a taxi. Bring a camera and an extra sleeve of balls; the views are guaranteed, the yardage is not forgiving.
Getting there
One hour by Shinkansen from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji, then about 40 minutes by taxi.
Nearest station: Shin-Fuji Station (Tokaido Shinkansen). We include precise, bilingual directions with every confirmed booking — and can arrange a private car with golf-bag space if you'd rather skip the trains entirely.
Visitor FAQ
When can I see both cherry blossoms and Mt. Fuji here?+
Typically late March to mid-April. Clear-sky mornings are most reliable for the full Fuji view — we recommend early tee times in that season and can advise on timing when you book.
Is 7,879 yards too long for me?+
That is the championship measurement — several forward tee decks bring the course to a very playable length. Most guests play around 6,300–6,700 yards.
How do I get there without renting a car?+
Shinkansen to Shin-Fuji Station (about 1 hour from Tokyo), then a 40-minute taxi. We can pre-book the taxi or arrange a private car for the day, including a stop at a viewpoint on the way back.
