Osaka Golf Club is the Kansai region's only true seaside course — a windswept, bunker-studded links perched on Osaka Bay at the southern tip of the prefecture, and a fixture in Rolex's ranking of the world's top 1000 courses. At 6,351 yards it reads short on the card; the sea wind and more than 80 deep bunkers make sure the card is lying.
The setting is the star: holes run along the water with ships crossing the bay behind the greens, and the round finishes with a hot bath overlooking the sea. Best of all for travelers, it is genuinely easy to reach — about an hour by train from Namba plus a three-minute taxi — making it the natural golf day on a Kyoto–Osaka itinerary. If you are visiting Kansai for the food and temples, this is how you sneak world-ranked golf into the trip.
Getting there
About 60 minutes from Namba (Osaka) to Misaki-koen Station, then 3 minutes by taxi.
Nearest station: Misaki-koen Station (Nankai Line). We include precise, bilingual directions with every confirmed booking — and can arrange a private car with golf-bag space if you'd rather skip the trains entirely.
Visitor FAQ
How windy does it get at Osaka Golf Club?+
The sea breeze is part of the course's character and can add two or three clubs on exposed holes. Morning tee times are usually calmer — tell us your preference and we will request accordingly.
Is it walkable from public transport?+
Almost — Misaki-koen Station is just a 3-minute taxi ride away, making this one of the most transit-friendly quality courses in western Japan.
Can I combine this with sightseeing in Kyoto or Osaka?+
Easily. Most of our guests play here as a day trip from an Osaka or Kyoto hotel. We can arrange tee time plus a private car so you are back in the city for dinner.
